The short version
- You do not need an account. We do not ask for your email, phone number or CNIC.
- Your quiz progress stays in your own browser.
- If you submit an MCQ, we keep the name you give us and show it on the question if we publish it.
- Google AdSense may use cookies to show ads. You can turn off personalised ads at any time.
- We do not sell personal information.
Information we collect
When you browse. Like every website, our servers receive your IP address, browser type and the page you request. We use this to deliver pages and to protect the site from abuse (for example, limiting how many requests one connection can send). We do not use analytics or tracking tools of our own.
When you search. The words you type into site search are used to find results. They are not linked to you.
When you take a quiz. Your answers are sent to our server only when you submit, so the quiz can be scored. We do not keep a record of your answers or score.
When you submit an MCQ. We store the question, options and explanation you send, the name you enter, the time, and a one-way scrambled form of your IP address (we cannot turn it back into your address). The scrambled form only lets us limit how much one sender can submit in a day.
When you email us. We receive your email address and message, and use them only to reply.
How we use it
- To run the site, score quizzes and show search results.
- To review submitted MCQs and credit the people who sent them.
- To prevent spam, scraping and attacks.
- To reply to your messages.
- To show advertising that keeps the site free (see below).
Advertising and Google AdSense
Mansib uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and to other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to Mansib and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info.
- To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice later.
If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will not be based on your interests.
Cookies and local storage
- Advertising cookies set by Google and its partners, as described above.
- Local storage in your browser keeps your quiz progress (so a refresh does not lose your place) and an unsent MCQ submission draft. It stays on your device and you can clear it in your browser settings.
- A sign-in cookie is used only by our own editors when they log in to manage content. Visitors never receive it.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. The site still works without them, though ads may be less relevant.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information. Information is handled by:
- our hosting and database providers, who store and serve the site for us under their own security terms;
- Google, for advertising, as explained above;
- authorities, only if the law requires it.
Links to other services (WhatsApp, Facebook, X, Telegram, LinkedIn, Google Drive) only share information with them when you choose to click. Their own privacy policies then apply.
How long we keep it
- Records of suspected abuse are deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Submitted MCQs and the names on them are kept while we review them and, if published, while the question is on the site.
- Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your request.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, including the name shown on a question you submitted. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Mansib is meant for exam candidates and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Related pages: Terms of Use and Disclaimer.
